Important Information

All prescription and over-the-counter medications must be administered through the school health clinic.

All medication must come in the original container and must have written permission from the parent and physician which specifies the name of the medication, the dosage, the time to be given, and the directions for administering the medication.

Under certain circumstances children experience mild discomfort during the school day, which can interfere with their learning. A dose of pain reliever may allow that child to return to class. Occasional use Tylenol or Motrin may be provided by the school if the parent has signed the consent on the yellow health card. This is administered according to standing orders and standard dosage guidelines. A student may not receive more than 5 doses per month.
