Monday, August 31st was Sixth Avenue's Back to School Night and Ice Cream Social. Students in several classrooms presented information to their parents about learning and leading at Sixth Avenue. Presentations included poetry, skits, and even a rap! Many parents and students enjoyed ice cream in the cafeteria too!

Superintendent John Barry paid a visit to Sixth Avenue on Tuesday, May 19 to congratulate 3rd grade students and teachers on the gains they made on the CSAP reading test. Teachers from Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade were also recognized for their work with our current third grade students. Congratulations 3rd Grade! Way to go!!!
Walkers and car riders will now be dismissed through the new gate on the west side of the playground along Zion. Thank you to PTO for helping us purchase this new gate!
